Last year was a big one for me. I’ve learned so many things and yet I left my day job and almost failed at school. I can think of any reason but upcoming great changes in my life. Here’s what I’m looking forward to in 2018 and what I’ve been imagining for the next 12 months of my life.

1. Exams

I know it sounds weird, but I do want to pass them ASAP and get rid of this responsibility I’ve been dragging behind me for many years already. It’s been time to graduate long time ago.

2. More YouTube videos

I’ve been doing Youtube videos for a while now and I have to say it’s kinda fun. Okay I absolutely love the process. One of the biggest things I’m looking forward to in 2018 is that I post more videos this year than ever before. I’ve been begging myself to stop trying to make perfect videos. Just post whatever I have. Like this:

What do you think?

3. Looking Forward to More Photos and Videos in 2018

Posting videos on Youtube is one thing. Having your best moments recorded somewhere is the whole other things. Sometimes the two merge. I don’t want that. I just want to be able to look back at my life some day, and remember those precious seconds in case I manage to forget them when I get old.

4. Financial Freedom

Being able to pay for my own rent would be nice. It would be great if I have money left for other good things in life like coffee, food and entertainment. So yeah! Reeeally looking forward to that one.

5. Spending more time with my family

I know it sounds super cliche, but I can’t put it in other words to make it sound more truthful.

6. Reading more books

Now that I am out of my day job, I have more time to read. Not that having a job is an excuse to not read. Still, I am now determined to read the business books I’ve been meaning to read for a long time. I have like a whole list of cool business books to read (which I will post shortly).

Plus, my sister got me a new book for Christmas about building my own brand (“60-minute Brand Strategist” by Idris M.), and I really want to apply everything from the book to my blog.

7. Opening up a small local e-commerce shop

With all the WordPress and Woocommerce knowledge I have, multiplied by my Marketing experience, I think I can do good in my own town by selling stuff to people who really want it. I found the perfect product to sell here, I just need some extra time to do that. I guess a few hundred sleepless nights this year will do. Anyways, I will post about it on this blog as well.

8. Learn Google Analytics

This is more technical, but critical for me and my career. My previous boss, Max, was kinda like a pro in Google Analytics. If you don’t know what’s Google Analytics, it’s a massive tool created by Google to sort of observe what people do and like doing on your website.

Being able to use Google Analytics like a pro, I would be able to see what you guys, my readers and viewers, like most about this blog and my YouTube channel. Knowing that allows me to create more stuff that you like, which will allow me to achieve Point 7 of this list 😉

9. Receive Google Certificates

In continuation of my previous point, Google gives out their own certificates to the people who pass their exams in Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google AdSense and YouTube (there’s more, but these are the ones that interest me right now).

Fun part is that anyone in the world with an access to internet can apply and receive a certificate.

This is what actually I told my dad (who is very worried about my future career), if you have a certificate from Google, you’re half-way on your way to success in Internet Marketing. So it’s kinda important to me.

10. Also Looking Forward to More Fun

Yes! Who doesn’t want that, duh? But I mean stuff I haven’t done before. Like snowboarding, traveling on my own or with my friends, and stuff like that. My entertainment looks very different to that right now. Netflix is great, but in moderate amounts, you know.

11. My Girl

Having a serious relationship is one of the biggest challenges in my life right now. It’s not about me not being ready. I am. Rather, I haven’t done that before, and I don’t know the rules, if there are any. I’m just that awkward guy who tries to adapt to the community he doesn’t fit in.

Right now, I have someone really really really special to me. And I already messed that relationship up. I can only hope and pray she lets me stay.

Sounds overwhelming and I already don’t think I will accomplish every single point in this list, but one nice thing I learned from my previous boss Max is that you gotta try to plan more than you’re able to do. That is the way you progress daily and become a stronger person than before. Those aren’t exactly the words he taught me, rather I interpreted it a little. Don’t know about you, but it makes sense to me.

Yeah But That’s Not All!

There are the things that I’m looking forward to in 2018, but still, you know what they say, the best things come unexpectedly, don’t you agree?
