I love my friends, I have a crush, but I love ME more

There are times when some people stop for a while and think about what happened in their lives so far. Something like looking in the rear-view mirror of a car. It’s the time their brain pauses the existing life and analyses the data of the past. This analysis solves down to a new formula for the future. And that’s exactly what I’m having right now.

I Love My Friends

Hanging out with friends is nice and sometimes it’s vital. Socialising is a major part of our lives.

I Have A Major Crush On Someone

Being able to feel beautiful feelings towards another human-being is great.

I Love Me More

But always and forever it should be YOU in your life who’s on the first place. That’s the point of this blogpost. I love me more than anyone else.

But I Love Me More

For many years I’ve been blindly sacrificing my time for my friends (some of whom are not friends of mine anymore), I’ve been spending tons of my personal time with a girl I had no chance with just because I wanted to be with her. That led to nowhere.

In this blog I declare that form now on I will dedicate my time to myself. That is: self-development, blogging, work and hobbies (have to make up some hobbies) and GYM ;'( .

Saying No

To do that I will have to learn one major ability I’ve been trying to develop for many years. It’s being able to say ‘NO’.

I’ve read somewhere that the one thing that differentiates most-successful people in the world form others is that overly successful people say ‘No’ to almost everything. I believe the meaning of this is that they say ‘No’ to everything that doesn’t strengthen them. In my case, I will say ‘No’ to everything that doesn’t help my self-development, blogging, work, hobbies and GYM.

Being a guy who says ‘Hell, Yeah!’ to many things is cool, but not always good.

I’ve already started the whole’Say No’ thing. It feels lonely. However, I like to believe it’s temporary.

Being Consistent

Thousands of times I’ve been in a situation where I decided to change my life by doing something new, maybe not the most entertaining ‘something’. Then I gave up and went back to the previous lifestyle. That has to change.

I’ve read somewhere that one should do something for 21 days in a row do develop a habit. I’ll try that. In 21 days from posting this blogpost I will return with the results.

Keep Socialising

Abandoning friends and the whole world is not a solution. Socialising is still vital to people, cause in the end we are social creatures. But to keep my world safe I think I should do it the Pareto way (80/20 rule). 80% of my time should be spent on myself and 20% of the time I can spend socialising.

“I want you to listen to me very carefully, Harry. You’re not a bad person. You’re a very good person, who bad things have happened to. Besides, the world isn’t split into good people and Death Eaters. We’ve all got both light and dark inside us. What matters is the part we choose to act on. That’s who we really are.” – Sirius Black (Source: IMDb)
